Once the treatment is finished, you’ll be able to leave the clinic and return home immediately.

BOTOX Cosmetic Recovery and Aftercare

After your BOTOX injections, you may experience some mild swelling, redness, and/or bruising at the injection site. This is normal and should subside within a few hours to a few days. To help reduce swelling and discomfort, you can apply a cold pack to the area for 10-15 minutes at a time, several times a day.

You should avoid scratching or rubbing the injection site(s) for at least 24 hours after treatment to prevent the spread of the BOTOX to other areas of your face. Most patients have no problem returning to work and resuming their normal routines within a day, but it’s best to wait at least 24 to 48 hours to engage in strenuous physical activity.
